Zahra Sultan ‘Izzat al-Saltanah to Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi
Zahra Sultan Nizam Mafi (‘Izzat al-Saltanah) writes to her sister, Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi, asking her to send a photograph of Manizhah and promising to send a photograph of ‘Izzi. ‘Izzat al-Saltanah also advises her sister to send some of her servants to learn to make some dishes and desserts from the new, skilled chef hired by the Hazrat-i Ashraf household. She mentions that she, herself, is learning some recipes from the cooks in addition to the dessert recipes she learned in Hamadan. Settlement between Riza Quli Khan and his mother, 1893
The second wife of Mirza Fazl Allah Khan [Agha Baygum Khanum] transfers the ownership of all her belongings (including whatever she owns until her death) to her son, Riza Quli Khan, in exchange for one hundred dinars. The condition is that Riza Quli Khan will be responsible for the food and clothing expenses of his mother as long as she lives. Moreover, after her death, he shall spend fifty tumans of his own money for the funeral expenses. A male slave, named Qanbar, and a female slave, named Tuti, are included in this settlement. Mahd-i ‘Ulya writes about sending Qurban‘ali Bayg with cucumber and eggplant pickles, sour cherries, and qavut; her sickness and a visit by Mirza Hasani Hakim, Mirza ‘Abd al-Vahhab from Farahzad, and Mirza Riza. She mentions sending back a girl, whom she had considered for marriage to the addressee, to her mother after learning about her seizures and sends the ring meant for her to Nasir al-Din Shah to give to ‘Ayishah Khanum.

‘Izzat al-Saltanah writes about her travel: first on the way from Tehran to Qum, Mahmud Khan was thrown out of the carriage, but only had minor injuries on his hands, thus Khanum [their mother, Khadijah Sultan] sacrificed a few sheep.
